Other issues discussed involved current and ongoing constitutional difficulties that the Ukrainian government has been experiencing.

Composed of delegates from International IDEA, members of the Ukraine government and think tanks within the country, attendees included Sumit Bisarya, Sergyi Holovatyi, Vladimir Vasilenko, Ihor Koliushko and Viktor Musiaka.

Larkin & Lacey

U.S. District Judge, Sharon R. Bolton made good on the pardoning of America’s most controversial sheriff, Joe Arpaio, by making President Donald Trump’s request official. While this was a move that took few by surprise, Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey, who has been at odds with “Sheriff Joe” since he was elected to office in 1992, spoke to the media in order to express their disapproval. Learn more about Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin: http://james-larkin.com/press/ and http://james-larkin.com/about/

Michael Lacey described the decision by President Trump as “the perfect marriage of two corrupt individuals,” going on to list just a few of the crimes that have been linked to the former sheriff over his tenure.

Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey’s opposition to the crimes of Joe Arpaio and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department eventually resulted in their unlawful arrest at the hands of Joe Arpaio’s Deputies.

Although the charges were dismissed almost as quickly as they were dispersed, the result was a three-year court battle in which Larkin and Lacey emerged victorious, garnering a $3.75 million settlement.

In 1970, the Vietnam War was ravaging the morale of the entire United States, and as protests erupted everywhere, particularly on college campuses, the need for an alternative take on the happenings to contrast the ultra-conservative nature of traditional news outlets, was growing at a fast pace. At the time, Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey were both dropouts of Arizona State University and having just experienced the wave of emotion felt throughout the country due to the recent Kent State Killings, they set out to join the protest by producing their own take on news in America. Joined by Karen Lofgren, Frank Fiore, Nick Stupey, and Hal Smith, Larkin and Lacey produced the first issue of Phoenix New Times, receiving significant praise for their free weekly.

As the desire for the Phoenix New Times began to garner public traction, the issue grew in size, as well as in the range of topics that it covered. The implementation of satirical cartoons proved to be groundbreaking for the fledgling magazine, and with Jim Larkin’s acute business sense, they began to procure ads by prominent companies, including the juggernaut, J.C. Penny.

Throughout the 1970’s, the demand for alternative news continued to grow, and at the onset of the 1980’s, the company branded as New Times Inc, had acquired Westword- a local Denver arts-and-news weekly publication.

This move would be the beginning of a number of acquisitions that resulted in 17 additional publications joining the New Times roster, including Nashville Scene, LA Weekly, OC Weekly, and the Village Voice. Over the years New Times Inc continued to flourish due to their spot-on investigative reporting and their coverage of issues that mattered to a myriad of people often neglected by mainstream society.

By 2012, New Times had become one of the leading forces in the world of alternative news, and Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey decided that it was time to leave the company they had cultivated over the course of four decades.

Today, Larkin and Lacey are actively involved in the Frontera Fund, which was started with the proceeds of their successful lawsuit against Joe Arpaio and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department, and they recently returned to media with the implementation of FrontPage Confidential.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi Develops Agriculture Loans

Published / by Alice / Leave a Comment

The economy in Brazil has grown rapidly over the past few years. During this time, a lot of people have started to invest in various business ideas. It is still difficult to get a business loan in Brazil. Some banks are not willing to lend to people who do not have a large amount of wealth.

The agriculture industry is essential to the overall economy. Although fewer people work in the industry each year, technology is helping increase production at farms. Brazil is known for producing some of the most popular crops in the world.

Bradesco is one of the most influential banks in Brazil. While Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was leading the company as CEO, he decided to develop an agriculture lending program to help farmers. This is a program that has had massive success. Not only does the program help increase sales at Bradesco, but agriculture loans are a huge benefit to farmers across the country.

Starting a Farm

Some people dream of starting a farm. Starting a farm requires a ton of initial capital. Not only do farmers have to purchase land, but they also have to purchase equipment for the farm.

There are many people who simply want to own a small farm on their land to produce food. This is a great way to supplement a person’s income each month. The new lending program at Bradesco is perfect for these people. Getting a loan for this purpose is now a quick process. There is even an online lending option that customers can choose.

Starting a larger farm takes much more time and money. However, once a farm is running smoothly, it can be a great business to own. Farmers have to be committed to running their business the right way. One bad year can wipe out a farm if the weather prevents a solid crop from developing. Farmers need to have a stable financial position at all times in order to reduce the financial risk of default.

Demand For Crops

Some of the crops in Brazil are increasing in value. For example, more people eat avocados than ever before. There are farmers in Brazil who are trying to grow more avocados. However, the farmers simply cannot keep up with the demand from customers. In these situations, an agriculture loan could help in several ways. A farmer could purchase a larger area of land in order to plan more avocado trees. Farmers could also invest in more efficient equipment to help workers with the farming process.

Future Trends

As the economy in Brazil continues to develop, many people will leave the agriculture industry to work in other industries. However, becoming a farmer is still a great way to make money. There are many people who are interested in starting a farm. A lack of capital is one of the biggest issues facing potential farmers. The new agriculture lending program at Bradesco is an excellent way for people to get the loans they need to start a farm.

The agriculture lending program was a great decision by Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi while he was at Bradesco. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi left Bradesco in order to pursue other opportunities.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi started as a clerk in the first branch of Bradesco Bank in small town of Marillia. He studied bachelor of psychology in University of Sao Paolo. He becomes the marketing director, Vice President and president of Bradesco and its different subsidiaries due to his hardwork and dedication.
