Lawrence Bender Films

Lawrence Bender is a Hollywood producer with an impressive resume. As a producer or executive producer, he has almost 30 credits to his name. He even has a number of credits as an actor, as he’s appeared in minor roles in a number of his own films. Some of Lawrence Bender’s most notable films include classics such as “Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction,” and “Good Will Hunting.” The latter two received Oscar nominations.

Lawrence Bender has successfully produced a number of commercially successful blockbusters. Many of his successes came from collaborations with Quentin Tarantino, who directed a number of his films. My favorite Lawrence Bender movie is “From Dusk Till Dawn.” This movie has become a cult classic among Tarantino fans and horror fans alike. One of the compelling aspects of this movie is how it blends genres. It starts out as a crime drama and thriller. It does a great job of creating a character study of the kidnappers and the victims. The movie stars George Clooney and Tarantino himself as the kidnappers. The hostages are a family played by Juliette Lewis, Ernest Liu and Harvey Keitel.

The film is well acted, making you care for the hostages and also sympathize with the kidnappers. Harvey Keitel plays a father who was previously a minister who has lost his faith. This comes into play during the second act of the film where things take an unexpected turn. As the group stops at what appears to be a biker bar in the middle of nowhere, they soon find out that the place is overrun by ancient vampires. The criminals and their hostages must work together if they want to survive. This blend of two genres is what makes the film really stand out as something unique.

Lawrence Bender grew up in the Bronx and then New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Maine, but not with a degree in film. Instead, he studied civil engineering. He then sought a career in dance, but was sidelined due to an injury before finally getting into film making.
